All courses take place at Camp Kabeyun, in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. Meals and lodging are included in the price of all workshops. Commuting is allowed, with alternate pricing, except as noted. All meals are included, regardless of lodging option.

All courses begin at 8:30 a.m. each day, and end at 5:00 on the afternoon of the last day, at the instructor's discretion.

Waterfront Lifeguard Training (LGT)  Includes CPR Certification
Dates: Session I: June 3 – 6, 2010
Session II: June 10 – 13, 2010

Course Description
This four-day course is taught by a Red Cross certified instructor trainer. Upon successful completion of the course the student will be granted Waterfront Lifeguard Training and First-Aid certifications (valid for 3 years) and a CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification (valid for 1 year).
 
Prerequisites
Age 15 by the end of the course; must be able to swim 550 yards continuously using the front crawl w/ rotary breathing and breast stroke; surface dive to a minimum depth of 8 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object in under 1 minute 40 seconds. Participants should practice these prerequisites before the course begins.
Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Dates: June 14 – 17, 2010

Course Description
A required certification for most camps and pools that offer swim instruction. This is an American Red Cross course (ARC) taught by a certified instructor-trainer. Successful completion leads to ARC Water Safety Instructor certification and certifies the individual to teach Parent & Child Aquatics, six levels of Learn to Swim, Basic Water Rescue, and Water Safety Today. Close enough to the start of most summer programs to accommodate training of international staff.
Waterfront Lifeguard Training and First-Aid Review/Recertification  Includes CPR Certification
Dates: June 15 - 16, 2010

Course Description
Required every three years to re-certify as a Waterfront Lifeguard. This two-day course is taught by a certified Red Cross trainer; reviews all required skills for Waterfront Lifeguard certification. Students must attend the CPR for the professional rescuer re-cert on the 16th - no additional cost, just a longer day! Supper will be included. Successful completion leads to Waterfront Lifeguard certification (valid for 3 years).
 
Prerequisites
Currently certified as Waterfront Lifeguard and nearing expiration, or expired for less than one year; current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification. Proof of certification must accompany registration. Must have reviewed the current lifeguard training book available at your local Red Cross chapter.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer Recertification
Dates: June 16, 2010, 5 - 8 p.m.
Tuition: $50.00

Course Description
Required annually to maintain current Waterfront Lifeguard certification. Reviews all required skills of CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification. Successful completion leads to CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification (valid for 1 year).
 
Prerequisites
Currently certified and nearing expiration, or expired for less than one year. Proof of certification must accompany registration. Must have reviewed the current CPR for the Professional Rescuer book available at your local Red Cross chapter.
